Advice Columnists for Quilting Professional Magazine
Paula and Jeanne, the owners and operators of Quilt Professionals, have been writing articles and columns for Quilting Professional magazine and Sewing, Quilting, and Embroidery Professional magazine since 2004. In our writings we provide advice to owners of quilt shops and other quilt-related businesses about all aspects of creating and operating a web site. Our Quilter's Guides to Placing and Promoting Your Business on the Web were published as a four part series in 2004. Since 2005, we've written our monthly advice column, "Web Site Success".
We hear from readers of our column all the time. Today we heard from someone who disagreed with our (somewhat negative) views on using templates to design a business web site. More often, we hear from owners of quilt businesses who are very appreciative of the advice we offer in our column. Many of them are seeking some additional assistance with their web sites. Probably the most common problem we hear about is lack of traffic - and purchases - on their web sites. Maybe you have this problem yourself. We devote many of our columns to the topic of promoting your web site because this is such a concern for so many business owners.
We have now added copies of our past columns to our web site, so that you, our site visitor, can benefit from our writings if you have not been regularly reading Quilting Professional magazine or Sewing, Quilting, and Embroidery Professional magazine. If you want the current column, you'll have to get the magazine though! A list of our past columns is provided below with links to the column. The current versions of our Quilter's Guide to Placing Your Business on the Web and our Quilter's Guide to Promoting Your Business on the Web are also available.
Happy reading to you!
