Standard Web Design Packages

Our Standard Web design packages provide you with a seventeen page web site that uses one of our popular web designs. Each package uses the Quilt Professionals Management System which allows you to easily update your own web site.

In order to provide you with an easily affordable web site our Standard Packages provide the basic necessities and allow you to add on the additional components you want. The E-Commerce Special adds the QuiltProfessionals Shopping Cart. You can add additional features by having QuiltProfessionals design your logo area or add a slide show, our email newsletter system, or our searchable class listing. Please take a look at several samples of web sites created with our Business Standard and E-Commerce Special packages.

Business Standard

  • We provide you with a seventeen page Web site. We set up a text-based logo area and your web site navigation buttons. You fill in the contents (text and photos) for the web pages. (Note: we will design a custom logo area for you or add content to the web pages for you as an additional service. Please see the optional features area below for more information.)
  • Your site will use one of our popular and time-tested web designs. (See a sample of a home page).
  • You will be able to easily make changes to the text and photos on all of your web pages by filling out simple forms. The Quilt Professionals Management System allows you to make these changes in a password-protected part of your own web site. You can work on your web site from anywhere you have Internet access.
  • Home page plus 16 additional web pages including: About Us, Gallery, Contact Us, Links, Frequently Asked Question, Products, five information pages that display text and graphics, five pages for displaying lists (e.g. your shedule, a list of classes). You will add the text and photos to these pages from the password-protected part of your web site.
  • Links for your customers to send you an email from each page.
  • Your complete contact information provided on each page.
  • Copy of your database provided to you  
  • Installation of your web site on our recommended web host. 

     Optional features for Business Standard package
  • Customize your web site by having Quilt Professionals design your logo area. We will develop a personalized, unique design for your logo area to be used throughout your site. You will need to provide us with two high quality photos to work with and tell us the colors you'd like used for your site. ($200 for up to four hours of design time. Normally four hours is adequate time to create your design. If more time is required for your unique design we will notify you for your approval and bill for design time at our hourly rate.) Highly recommended!
  • Quilt Professionals can add your text and photos to the web pages for you if you don't want to do it yourself. (Please inquire about our hourly charge.)
  • Add our Email Newsletter System. Your newsletter will appear on your web site and can also be easily emailed out to your mailing list. You can email up to 4000 newsletters at once. One standard newsletter and up to four specialty newsletters can be sent via email. You can maintain different mailing lists for each type of newsletter. ($499)
  • Add a Class Listing allowing your customers to search by teacher, class type, and more. ($299)
  • Add Special Effects such as slide shows or animation (starting at $200)

E-Commerce Packages: The Basics

Shopping Cart $500  
  • Easy for your customers to find and buy the products they want
  • One time fee. No extra monthly or per product fees.
  • Displays over a thousand products. Attractive display.
  • Product information stored in your own Microsoft Access database.
  • Special fabric display options. Every piece of fabric can be simultaneously categorized up to ten different ways. Makes it very easy for customers to find the fabrics they want. You select the 10 main fabric categories. Unlimited number of subcategories can be used.
  • Small, medium, and extra large product photos displayed. You can include up to 10 different photos of any product.
  • Easily add and update products on a secure page on your web site. (To add pictures of the products you will need a scanner or digital camera, simple photo-editing software, and inexpensive FTP software allowing you to upload the graphics to your web site.) 
  • Whenever an order is placed, both you and the customer receive an email confirmation.
  • Multiple options for processing credit cards. Connection to PayPal comes with the shopping cart. You can also opt to have the cart collect your customers' credit card information and then process credit cards yourself. (Authorize.net is also available, but there are addional fees involved.)
  • Includes installation of the shopping cart on your web site on our recommended web host. (Please review what you'll need, below.)

What you'll need for your e-commerce web site: Your shopping cart and store will need some basic supports in order to operate properly. We will be happy to help you understand and obtain the necessary supports. Please see our Quilter's Guide to Placing Your Business on the Web for additional help in understanding these requirements.

  • Domain name: You will need to obtain your own domain name for your website (e.g. www.yoursite.com).
  • Compatible web host: Your web host must use a Windows server and provide support for Active Server Pages, ASP.Net and an Access database. We ask that you use our recommended web host to provide these services.
  • SSL certificate (optional): If you plan to take credit card information online (rather than calling the customer for the credit card number), you will need to obtain a security (SSL) certificate. Our recommended web host will allow you to use one of their shared certificates at no cost to you.
  • Compatible payment gateway/processor (optional): If you want to process credit cards online (rather than in your bricks and mortar store), you must acquire the services of either 1) a third party payment processor or 2) a payment gateway and an internet merchant account. The Quilt Professionals shopping cart is compatible with PayPal or Authorize.net. We charge a setup fee to connect to Authorize.net, but the connection to PayPal comes free with the cart.
